For any aspiring footballer in Hampshire, representing Southampton is a dream scenario,
and The Saints Foundation's Futsal and education programme offers exactly that.
To study and play the Southampton Way. The two-year course combines a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in sport with the unique game of Futsal, competing in a regional league.
Futsal is a 5 v 5 game, played with a heavier ball at a faster pace, forcing an emphasis on control and technique.
Students train 3 times a week with qualified Southampton Coaches and play matches every other Wednesday.
The BTEC is taught online meaning students have the flexibility to work away from the classroom, in a relaxed learning enviroment.
16 Students on the course allows for more one on one attention, which many other colleges cannot offer.
Education Manager Mark Gamble described the benifits of the programme by saying "its a perfect environment to teach from. The opportunity to learn through sport and Football is a great platform to start on"
"We Got to Study
